Here time is not measured—it’s felt.
The Temporal Museum explores how architecture can transform time into a spatial experience. Inspired by the Astronomical Clock of Prague and a conceptual painting of a guiding hand, the design examines the tension between perceived freedom and orchestrated movement. Multiple staircases on each level offer different routes, yet all lead to the same destinations, allowing visitors to choose their own journey while still being subtly directed. Carved double-height voids within the 15-foot floor plates reveal framed views across levels, creating continuous visual links that expand and compress space like the shifting mechanics of a clock.
As visitors move through the building, they can look down toward where they came from and up toward where they will go next, establishing a clear spatial reading of past, present, and future. This vertical awareness turns circulation into a temporal narrative. Wrapped in glowing frosted glass and crowned with sloped, pointed rooflines that echo Prague’s skyline, the museum becomes an illuminated vessel of movement and memory. Through layered circulation, shifting views, and controlled choice, the building transforms time into an architectural medium—one that visitors actively walk through, observe, and experience.
